well when i fried my alternator the battery light came on.

He went in the water first. No one else had tried it.

After I pulled him out the engine was still running, no water got into the intake. He shut it off, opened the doors to let the water drain. We noticed the shitty stock skid was bent and we removed it. But the engine would not start. The battery had plenty of power, the starter just clicked but did not turn over the engine. I believe it was either the starter or water got on some other electronics. I towed him to the Shell Station in Gorman and he was going to call a tow truck.

You will need to take out the seats and center console, take out the carpet and hose it off. Take out the rubber plugs in the floor and hose out the mud inside the cab.

When my starter went out, no lights or anything came on.....

But I have a 2002 4Runner.

to bad he wasn't a manual you might have been able to bump start him.

His check engine light was on, but if you turn the key to the "on" position and the engine is not running the CEL always comes on.

So you will have to use a code reader to see if there is any codes.

ouch. Def gunna need to pull the carpet. Isnt too hard. Just time consuming
