Located in San Francisco, but willing to drive out of the city.

Recently left my career behind and moved up to Northern California with the significant other so she can attend Grad School.

As most know, housing is horrid here and I have no garage to store my tools if I brought them up.

The wear indicators are making a scraping noises on her civic. Does anyone have any tools I can come by and use to bend the wear indicator out or even outright change the brake pads and or rotors?

I can offer beer or Cash monies for the help. I'm not bending backwards anymore for SF to ream me in the ass. 140 just for labor to replace the rear brakes is a bit much. I can hardly afford the Rent here.

We will be driving to SoCal next week, and I could do the rest there with my own tools.

Brakes are cheap as dirt for a civic. Replacing them is as easy as making a mud pie. What you really are asking is for a stranger to let you come over and occupy his/her driveway for a half hour or so... Is it soo bad you can't make it till next week? The wear indicators still leave you a few millimeters of wiggle room before you get right down onto the pad backing plate.

I've been a member here for almost 6 years, so if anything shady were going on, I'd have done it by now haha.

You're right... They are cheap as dirt and replacing them is easier than throwing sand... I just dont have tools to do it since they're all back in Southern California.
I've been trying to convince her that its okay, but its been on going for almost a month now and she's just not buying it. Its her car after all.

You can come by and use my tools if you want, no drive way and my street parking is on a hill/slope. But you can use my tools/jack if you want.

Located in South San Francisco next to serramonte shopping center.

Will be home in an hour or so.
