HB people, who are you using for Internet? I had been with Timewarner/Spectrum the last year, but out of nowhere I'm now being told I was on a "new customer promotion" and my bill has now gone up $21 a month. I'm not fucking paying those fuck faces $66 a month. Thinking about Frontier perhaps. Anyone deal with them? Or AT&T?

Google needs to step up their internet coverage and get in all the locations so we can have real rates and not this bullshit monopoly rate.

How's the reliability and speed? I work from home so I have to have reliable connections and all that. I'm going to call TWC later and see if I can get someone on the phone who can actually work with me and give me a discount or something outside of billing, but I was just looking at Fronteir. It's 30/month but only if you do a 2 year contract, which, if the internet is actually reliable, wouldn't be an issue at all. Otherwise I think the no contract monthly rate is 45 like you said you pay.

We had TW, then went to Frontier (when it was still FIOS) and they couldn't get their piece of crap routers to work in our house. They tried three others in one month period with no success so we cancelled and went back to TW. We have the triple bundle deal with no movie stations and its still $200 a month.

I'd say its pretty solid. We've never had direct issues with it but we also have the premium package. Also there's roughly 3 computers / 4 phones / 3 firesticks /xbox /playstation connected to it at a time and its always super fast for us

Do you know if you have to use their routers? Because I'm not paying an extra $10/month for a shit router. I provided my own with TWC/Spectrum for that purpose. I am going to see if I can get them to discount me down to $50/month as I saw someone on Reddit was able to do, or maybe see if they can do an internet/TV bundle with a discount to give me same price as just internet at $65. I refuse to pay that much just for internet, it's insane.

Hmm ok thanks. I will give them a call after I speak with TWC again. I really don't want the hassle of switching internet providers and dealing with any new issues that may result.

damn we pay $60 for internet a month here in Monrovia, but it's fiber optic for what it's worth. I never really cared about it being that fast as I only need it for TW, Netflix and emails but...fiber optic sounds pretty cool.

We are now. I initially had a TP Link router that was working good. Then they did some kind of an upgrade to our neighborhood and it became super slow. We had them come out to check things and they installed theirs and we haven't had an issue since. The only good part is it has a much stronger signal strength that gives me coverage anywhere on my property. We do have four cable boxes, one in the living room, one in each of the kids rooms and one in the master. I'm thinking of dumping two and replacing them with firesticks to save a few bucks.

Ya, I don't need super fast internet, but I do need reliable connection. Although, extra speed is nice to have because everything my company uses for their software and shit is all ancient and takes forever to load as is, even if you're connected directly to the network at an office. Being work from home, it's even slower...

Still got Timewarner, connection is pretty good considering my younger brother is constantly using it to game, stream etc across multiple devices at the same time

Wuts an internets? This where you find the pupper videos and boobs?

FWIW: only two options here were AT&T and Cox. AT&T only offered like 5mb... yeah mb. So the only real option was Cox. Got f'd by the damn monopoly.
