right on buddy! Count me in. I'm in Escondido so I'm on the way. I know you and your mom go out there all the time. I've been out there quite a few times but I've never done any 4x4 trails in Anza...just Ocotillo :anonymous:

What ever came of some guy, I think in Oregon, that was building a custom steel gas tank to get more gallons and use stock location? I'm not getting anything that bad...yet... But would like to have an option of at least extending the range if I were to get to that bad of MPG.

@The Traveler, do you have to carry a bunch of gas with you when you go out on the trails?

The wind caves at fish caynon, Man I want to go but the kid starts school, its a tight pinch so I cant conmit just yet.... and I would also want to briing the bike and its not red sticker season yet, even though I dont see them bothering me.

Scotty!!!! From what I know the closest station is like 25 miles away (Borrego Springs). Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Jerry Cans are always a great idea out in the desert

    Lots...see build
Sweet! We'll work on details when it gets closer.
Haha, I'm the complete opposite...only been inside Ocotillo once or twice but have been on trails in Anza about a dozen times and have driven into Valley of the Moon/Elliot Mine in the south another dozen or so times.

I think there may be gas right outside Ocotillo Wells at the road that goes to Split Mountain and fish creek wash, but I'm not sure if that still exists. Probably exorbitantly expensive, though, if it does exist.

Dont know when you were out there last but prepare to be bothered, they've really been cracking down on people this year for just about everything, some legit & alot frivolous...

I think we've spoken before about Valley of the moon & that climb to the top where Elliot mine shafts are haven't we Kevin ? Awesome & alot trickier/narrow than pics/vids show..
