See I almost DIED on Bronco Peak two weeks ago. It was in that moment that I swore off rock crawling for good.

This 4 year old vid is coming down backside of Bronco Peak (not connector obliviously) truck was almost bone stock, but couldn't go all the way down, theres a 3ft ledge that would've ate my under carriage alive & my rockers

Yeah we went the opposite way. I had to make it up that, no lockers, worn down tires, at night, in the rain. NOT a fun time...if it were for my sliders or skids, my truck (or what was left of it) would probably still be there.

Photo does no justice...had 3 guys holding the passenger side from tipping with an ARB strap around my B-pillar.

This spot was off camber, and very wet from raining on us all day. My rear end slipped off the slab I was on, and in trying to motor forward, the front slipped off with it. Driver side was already on the decline of the 100 ft drop to my left, passenger side got off the ground and settled. Scariest damn moment of my wheeling history. I got out of the truck until we figured out a way to pull me out without risking taking a Jeep down the hill with me. Eventually got it after 3 hours of working with the recovery equip we had. It was just a really bad spot that I couldn't get out of because of the large rocks under me.

Winch line was just an anchor.

Oh yeah , def. wouldn't advise anyone to hit ANY of the single black diamond trails out there during or right after rain, I'll go out there but keep my wheeling strictly to the TDS loop & it's no cake walk when wet, there was a little used trail out there that goes up the spine of Los Pinos~Mnt lookout tower but I hear its been completely "piped off" for access , we named it PJ Peak after the member who got insanely stuck sideways on it, actually its an un maintained access road for power poles...

3 of the trucks in pic will recieve substantial rocker panel & bedside damage (mine was one) & 1 truck will spend 3 days on the side of this unforgiving S.O.B. of a mountain till it dried out some....

The canyon is no joke & will swallow you up & shit you out sideways if you make a mistake...& like you Matt..pics do no justice...

    Lots...see build
I've only driven the Espinoza trail out there to go climbing at Corte Madera crag, but yeah those trails are steep and tight!
Glad you're ok, Traveler. Looks like a harrowing situation!

Yeah I've learned a lot of respect is needed for these trails. Every foot of that trail was a calculated line to avoid serious injury or damage. I end days like that with a headache and more stress than before.

If it's a rock trail in a riverbed with the only possibility is to flop, I'm game. Off camber with drops and steep accents/descents...count me out.

I don't drive no 1400 truck, but I've been known to put my truck through some abuse in Ocotillo Wells. Lol

I was in the blk & orange DNA truck & Jerry was in the all blk (really dark blue IIRC) & for a leaf sprung truck he's(Haas) pulling some pretty crazy numbers for travel , can't remember exactly , jerry's truck is linked

Without getting too off topic here, my goal for the rear is to get 16" of travel and have it valved really well. 14" front and 16" rear with hydro bumps, that's all I need for what I wanna do with this truck.
