    Hi!

I have a 2017 Tacoma Sport double cab 5' bed with NO LIFT.

I am looking to get some General Grabber AT2 2??/70 R17 with Black Rhino wheels. I want a wider stance and want to avoid using spacers. So, I would need a wider tire and wheel. If I were to go with 9" width on my wheels and tires could I do that with those tires, if not and if so what size should I be looking for?

Please help me Taco nerds, you are my only hope,
    Princess

No lift and wider wheels will drive the factor for tire height size. Idk what that is but a factor to lookout for. I’m sure someone has the answer here.

That doesn't accomplish the wider stance I want. o_O

So without a lift spacers might be my only option?

The 17x8.5 would be a good option

265/70 - 17 is largest safe size. 275/70 - 17’s if you are feeling lucky. Some say 285/70 -17’s fit but most require a CMC. Do a search in the Tire and suspension forum.

Stock wheels and tires on such a pretty truck.. It's like a hot woman in a blue dress, all done up for a night on the town in a pair of brown leather work boots.

Not exactly, I’m sure there is a way. People will argue spacers and fulcrum points and weight distribution and blah blah blah. It can be done I think maybe with even some trimming if you’re up for that?

    Yes.

Wide tires suck on trucks. On road is crappy because tracking is exagerated and they get stuck easier in mud.

Mall parking lots and monster truck rallies may be an exception to this.

I'd go with a Raptor or a Rubicon.

Yah, too late I bought a Taco and love it. Maybe round two I will go with a Ford but I doubt it after seeing the 2020 Taco's.

Jeez, cant an enthusiast just get some info.

You've got a whole lot of options. Great thing to do would be get in a locals thread and go meet some people and see their setups.

Let you really get an eye on what different wheel specs look like.

According to General's website here you should be able to mount 265/70/17 on a 7-9" wide wheel, so you should be good to go
