Well I have owned my new 17 TRD sport one week. I previously owned a 2011 TRD sport for 6 years and I have some things I like better and some things I don't care for.
    First the Likes-
    >The ride is great
    >The power is better
    >The engine is quieter as is the whole truck
    >I love the tailgate
    >I like the keyless entry (once I changed it to open all the doors at once)
    >I like the whole Entune system with Navigation and bigger back up camera
    >I like the new car smell (first new truck in over 20 years)
    >I am loving the gas mileage so far-21.5 first 600 miles
    >I love the room in the back seat (my old one was access cab)
Now the Dislikes comparing to my old one-
    >I hate the all black interior and black cheaper carpet
    >I don't care for the rough cheap looking trim panel and dash inserts
    >I don't care for the subcompact car emergency brake in the middle
    >There is less room in and on the center console
    >I don't care for the plastic hood scoop
    >The weather app is useless in my area and has never worked
    >I was charged over $200 for floor mats that are not near as good as weather techs
I'm sure there will be more likes and dislike to come so maybe some of you can share.

Weather app needs HD radio station signals to update I believe. So if you are too far from a station broadcast in HD it's not gonna work.

Congrats on the new truck, I love mine. Those trim panels not only look cheap they are also a bitch to clean! I'm referring to the ones on the top of the doors.

I thought the black headliner was weird when I bought the truck. Most cars I have owned have all been gray or tan.

3K miles in I dont even notice any more.

I'm sure I will get used to the black but now I am really noticing how it shows dust and dirt and I haven't even really used it. I don't know why they don't offer tan any more- My 1999 and my 2006 interior was tan and I loved it. And I liked the grey in my 2011. I had one color choice to choose from out of 20 trucks I looked at- black and black and charcoal seats and black.

I had two second gens- This truck has more power IMHO and the stats say so too. But my 2006 with a six speed would get with it and I'm sure this one with a six speed would too. And my 2011 avg 18 per gallon.

One of the first things I ordered was husky floor mats and covering seat covers!

The only thing I don't like is that the audio controls in the steering wheel are backwards. Up/ down should be volume, not track select.

Seriously, that is literally my only complaint about my 2016 TRD OR.

Mine cuts in and out and I'm outside of Chicago. It's nice when you are in range but annoying when not

Adding pigment powder to plastic during manufacturing cost money. It would cost Toyota an extra $1.00-$2.00 on a $37,000 truck.

I second the black interior. The edge where the roof lining meets the front windshield is atrociously ugly.

Did you get neoprene? Or which ones? I'm shopping for some and looked at cover king and was considering the Clazzio leather too.

Op, the lack of torque and transmission operation hasn't been an issue?

    Thanks for the feedback

I pulled my boat with it this week and didn't notice any torque problems and it does shift a little more on hills but I knew it would as it has one more gear but it really doesn't bother me because it is so much quieter than my old truck. Plus my old truck got about 14 pulling my boat or less and this one got over 17 pulling it.
