One more girl here to tell you that she's just not into you anymore. You don't tell someone you want to be friends with them if you really want to continue dating. Doesn't work that way.

She's tired and stressed out and she's not turning to you for comfort, she's pushing you away. That's pretty clear. Move on.

If you let this girl string you along, remain her backup plan, it'll hurt worse and for a lot longer. Cut your losses and go hang out with some friends to distract you. It won't be long before you love being single again.

You've already agreed to separate. It's already done.

So now (and this is the hardest part) you just have to stop the contact. Completely. 100 per cent. Leave her be. Delete her phone number. Block hers. Give yourself a chance to look at yourself, appreciate yourself and HEAL.

Don't go out looking for another gal right now, it will come naturally. And don't play and games to make her jealous. Just go about your business. Reconnect with your old buddies (we ALL know that once the girlfriend comes along, the guy friends are put on back burner) and go hang out and have fun with them like you used to do.

    You'll be okay. I promise. :)

Sounds like she's letting you down easy to make herself feel better. After all (after the fight) you're the one that wanted the break right (but based on her actions)? I think she acted that way to let you make the choice and (in her mind) she's not to blame. And, who cares anyway? If you're not right for each other, you should thank her in the end. Not to sound like an ass but, it's the best thing. If she's not happy enough with you to stay (for whatever reason) do you really want to stay with her?

Get out there and enjoy life. This isn't the "plenty of fish in the sea" point but, it is how you really do find the "right" one speech...go date around.

On a related note: I'm so fucking glad I'm not this young anymore!

Not sure if anyone mentioned it but 99% of the time females say this they are already seeing someone else. She doesn't want to be with you anymore...just move on.

Oh. Well I don't feel it's my place to give details but according to the very first post here, I believe the young man is having girl problems.

Well, some people probably have a difficult time directly (in person) asking for advise with their drama? I find it awkward to share my drama in general :puke:

I agree you need to let go. Do not get together to "talk about it" and "try to work it out" that will only prolong the hurt and make things worse. But there is no need to be a dick to her or anything, always be nice and respectful if you bump into her or wind up talking to her, but stand up for yourself and man up. I know it sounds so cliche but it's true, there are many more out there who are just as wonderful and will work out

    UPDATE:

So I broke up with her on Sunday, met up with her at her dorm and talked over things. So we agreed to break up, she wanted freedom, she didn't want a relationship right now because there is just too much stress going on in her life that is affecting the way she supposedly looks at me. She says shes not happy. I told her I would be willing to be there for her as a BF and she knows that, but she said her gut says no relationship at all with anyone right now. She told me there was no one else without me asking. She said she still wants to be best friends and talk to each other and be there for each other, but I told her that I need space and she said she's willing to give me as much space that I needed.

So she calls me today because she doesn't know if there is a test in one of our classes together and I answer, tell her no it's not today, then say bye.

I don't get why she is calling me today.
