I've been daydreaming of owning a Tacoma since I was 21 years old - I returned home after living abroad in Brazil, and saw my first 2nd Gen Tacoma. I have wanted one ever since.

I just purchased my first Tacoma! A 2005 DCSB Silver Mica SR5. It came with an add-a-leaf on the back, a leveling kit on the front, 285/70R17 BFG KO2s, and a pre-installed light bar on the front bumper!

I've been reading forums on TacomaWorld for years, and I already have planned out my next 2 years of mods and purchases! I'm planning on installing a double din after market Pioneer stereo with backup camera, rock sliders, Stealth Custom Series wheels, LEER 100XL bed cap, FrontRunner cap rack, CVT rooftop tent, and so on!

Can you confirm what size leveling kit you have? I am looking at a leveling kit that has 2.5" in the front and 1.25" in the back and the installation guys said the lift recommends tires 275 and below to avoid rubbing. I am trying to confirm if anyone else has installed 285/70/17 on a 2.5" leveling kit.

I'll be glad to go outside and measure them - but that's exactly that kind of thing I'm trying to figure out. How do I figure out what I've got? I don't have the contact info of the original owner - I'm just doing research on what I have. I've been wondering if I could go to a local installer and ask them to give me the details of what I have.
