As someone who is also relatively new to RVing.....definitely spring for the wet bath if you can. It's not as much about the toilet but coming from tent camping, being able to shower before you go to bed feels like such an awesome luxury.

That will tow great for you. Not too heavy and the tear drop is aerodynamic. I tow a 3,600 lb travel trailer and it is fine for me. Probably not a must but I like having the weight distribution hitch with sway control.

That’s a link to a whole list of them. Pick your poison when it comes to design and weight. Me personally, I’ll be looking at the Anderson style WDH’s when it comes time.

Attempting to post a photo of mine:

    IMG_3704.jpg

Install tip: Lock the hitch onto the ball as usual. Then raise the tongue hitch on the trailer pretty darn high to get the bars in place. It is a tight fit. (The bars are already connected to the hitch in the photo just to show how it looks when they are inserted the hitch. Normally they go in last.)

New install shouldn't be too tricky, although the dealer installed mine when I picked up my trailer.

This, anything that isn't sleeping on the ground is an upgrade!

We have an external shower as well that saves on the gray water retention.

I've always used and had great performance from Equal-izer brand.

This is the hitch rated up-to 4,000 lbs: https://www.equalizerhitch.com/store/hitches/400-4-000-lb-equal-i-zer-sway-control-hitch

I picked up an Anderson Anti sway/weight distribution hitch and a Tekonsha P3 today.

The P3 is temporarily mounted to the dash until I can get my hands on that MESO custom switch panel that the dude further back in this thread has.

I should be picking up the trailer tomorrow.

I have this same WDH! I think these are preferred because they allow you to back up without removing.

So, getting back to the original reason for this thread, we are starting day 3 of bringing our new trailer home.

Yesterday from Fountain, Colorado to Santa Fe was our most arduous part of the journey. Lots of elevation changes. Ration Pass, at the border of Colorado/NM was brutal but the Taco performed beautifully. However, I was able to maintain 65-75 mph most of the but gas mileage really suffered. The 2 Tanks getting down from Greeley to Fountain, 12.4 mpg followed by 10.4 but yesterday, only 8.4 on the climb to Santa Fe. Today is mostly downhill because home (Las Cruces) is only 4000 ft elevation. Today will be another long drive, but much easier on the truck and the driver.
Here we are at Santa Fe Skies RV park.
But pics are upside down. Sorry
