I was out in the garage working on my KTM when some random neighbor pulls up in his Tacoma and offers to sell me his take off TRD wheels for $500. I wasn't really in the market for new rims but I did look at these once or twice online or somewhere. I knew they sold for a lot more than $500 and he included the tires, sensors and lug nuts. It was the sensors that made me jump. I figured I at least break even if I decided not to keep them.

How did I do? They're clean and there's at least 5,000 miles left in the tread.

I would have done the same. A family member offered me a used manual Yaris for $4K I bought it right away, my wife and I drove it for almost 2 years, I was in school around that time and used it to put all the miles on it and it was cheaper in gas than my WRX...it got hit while parked by FedEx and I got 1700 to replace the fender and front. The front was salvageable and the fender was 100 on eBay...so I paid 400 cash to get it fixed. Later sold it for 5500. So I made 2200 over two years and had a car for almost free lol...
