I paid $1400 for mine with tires, you could easily get $1500.

I hate to be that guy but this is hard to believe. Wouldn't someone who owned these KNOW they were worth a hell of a lot more than $500? What's going on here?

Great job OP keep them or sell them and make a buck

First thing I thought was that they were stolen. Then I checked out his tires and wheels and they were brand new. I think he just wanted to be neighborly and pay it forward. I think they lowballed him at the tire store for them and he thought he'd CL them or sell them to a friend. He drove by and saw me out and about, as usual, and stopped.

They're mounted and I'll be going to see him tomorrow. I'll find out if they were hot or not. My 'hood is pretty small and he claimed he lived right down the block from me. Mentioned that he noticed when I bought my Tacoma and it all felt ok to me. He has an 11' and was ready for a change. Didn't want to store them or go through with taking pics, posting, dealing w/ tire kickers, etc. Threw out a deal to me and I recognized it. I stalled for a minute while I got my bearings and was able to read him a bit.

I'll post up tomorrow or next and let you know.

Pics are dark. I'll get better tomorrow or next as well.

I'm happy for you. You got an amazing deal. Now take some of that saved $$$ and buy some locking lug nuts.

He included the special narrow lug nuts that are splined and one for each wheel that is keyed along w/ the special key and splined adapters. This is why I believe they are NOT stolen. That and he had mentioned that he sees me out working on my yard often, which is true.

    More than I can afford
    Stuff like this happens.
I paid $50 for a Powertank, regulator and mounting bracket I found on Craigslist. Thought something was fishy about the deal.
Nope, guy who used to own a jeep, now out of the hobby, married, kids etc. Got tired of tripping over it in his garage and wanted it gone fast. Seller showed up in a BMW SUV, normal, non sketchy family type guy.
Paid him the money and walked away happy.

You got a steal! Also, those black colored ones like you have are very hard to find right now if not almost impossible. I would imagine you could more than double your money posting them on Ebay if you wanted to.

Terrible deal. I'll give you $20 for them to help you make up for your loss.

But, in reality that's a sweet deal.

Great deal, but I'd be tempted to call my local PD to make sure they're not hot...
