so I decided to.......

paint my engine cover last weekend i've just been too lazy to put pics up.

Before:

this is the primer coat

then:
tape off the sides and just did one strip of with down the middle


the finished product:

added a clear coat for that clean look

not too bad for someone who has had no experience painting just very simple. I was trying to tape off the letter but i had no luck. That shit was hard i guess i need more practice.
But tell me what u guys think?

 

Looks good.

But you should try painting the letters back to black, or even red. If you're having trouble taping everything, just tape over all the letters, then cut away the tape where you want the colour to show through. Mask off the rest and spray away.

 

Looks great, post some pics with it installed when you get a chance, I would love to see how it looks. What type of paint did you use?

 

I love arts and crafts, never thought I can do it to my truck.

 

I went down to Home-Depot and just ask for plastic paint. I think I used rustoluem.

 

looks pretty good man. next time i order some colormatch in a spray can, im gonna paint my valve cover.
