Obviously that not a warrantable thing. But I can tell you that if you came into our one of our dealerships and made such a big stink and have a terrible survey, there is a very good chance we would clean out your sunroof assembly and grease it for you.

I have my doubts that you aren't really able to think that through. I mean to know what 'way' there is for self inflicted damage to be under warranty w/o being a lie. o_O

You could read through your warranty papers and see if you can find something in the small print that allows for such warranty work. Probably not.

You could file an insurance claim and see what happens there. Give them office humor for a few hours if nothing else I bet.

Or you could just man up and either clean things up yourself or pay a pro to do it.

I believe the grease is under warranty, but the sand is not, since the sand did not come with the truck and it is not sold as an option in your location. It is possible that they may have an extended warrantee that will cover your sand, but you should check to see if you have the right sand, from the right location and the correct color or they may only cover the insertion of the sand, not the removal or labor involved in inspecting the sand for coverage...these warrantee things are real tricky...

I did this with a table. However, the employees did not tie the table down in the truck as my wife clearly instructed them to do. Big difference.
