Awesome! Do you have any other pics showing their profile on the side of the truck from further out, by chance?

    Greatly appreciate it!

Apologies to the OP for the hijack.

They don't stick out too far to interfere with anything, yet with the doors open they expose a good amount of surface area. Although when a lady in a BMW pulls in next to you and whips her door open and smacks them she might think they stick out too far and get her panties in a bunch. Just saying.... And was worth the price just watching her get mad at me for her stupidity.

That is priceless! Exactly why I ordered bolt on sliders on BAMF's thanksgiving sale...I dont off road heavily enough (yet) to need something so stout, (but I will have them just in case) but my wife's and my coworkers have been murder on the sides of my truck. Once I get the sliders I can drive through the parking lots and see which morons it is by seeing who has a nice rolled over, rounded dent in the edge of their doors!!

Get a locking tailgate handle and make it a habit to keep it locked and you won't need that silly hose clamp ;)

They'll definitely improve your odds but you're not invulnerable. I also have some BAMF sliders with the kickout and I've noticed that a lot of vehicles can still hit you. The worst culprit is going to be rear doors because a lot of them have that cutout for the rear tire. Some smaller cars have doors with a C-shaped cross section and those can hit you too. Last are the large / lifted trucks and SUVs but it seems like people that drive those are generally more mindful of what they're doing, at least in tight parking spaces. Personally I think minivan owners and occupants dish out 90% of door dings and sliders have you totally covered in that regard.

Fortunately I haven't seen any new dents / scratches since I installed the sliders but that wasn't my main reason for getting them anyway. The Porsche story was awesome, but I think that person probably would have keyed your truck and left if you hadn't been around.

edit: Forgot to add the main reason for getting these: Hi-lift jack point! It's way better than that factory POS but be sure to watch a lot of vids and practice with it first so you don't mess up yourself or your truck when it slips on you.

I'm glad you used it and it turned out so nice.

I just did a search, and I've posted / recommended this product 18 times in the last year. While popular in other off road venues, seems hardly anyone here knows anything about it. The UV stabilization and the rubber chip free product is the deal for me.

If I had armor, this product is what would go on it.

If I had a cosmetically failed, but mechanically great off road truck, this product is what would refinish it.

If I had an older truck with a metal bed, this product is what would line it.

I have a white base 5 lug. Someday in my expected 20 yrs of use, the bumpers will get a bit ratty as will the rocker panels. Monstaliner will refinish the black bumpers, and the rockers will be in their white, looking a lot like stone guard.

No. The main reason for getting these is to prevent rocks from caving in your rocker panels. Hi lift jack point is an ancillary benefit.

When my paint fails, I would seriously consider this, raail coating, or line x'ing the whole truck.

    Did you clear coat it?

We mix touchup paint slightly lighter than the actual color because when you clear coat it it will slightly darken it.

The nice about this is the fact that you can DIY, w/o spraying, and have it look good like the OP did.

You can do one panel at a time, instead of prepping the whole vehicle and then having to shoot it all at once. This lets the DIYer spread the work over several weekends if needed.

You can practice your technique with smaller, less visible bits, like sliders and skids, before attacking large panels.

Much of the truck can be disassembled, one bit at a time, to really make a clean prep and finish effort.

Yes, its a lot of work. No, the material is not cheap. But the results are certainly worth it if this is the style of finish that meets your needs.

    (not affliated, yada yada yada)

I've used a similar product, called Grizzly Grip, also UV stable. I coated the roof of a camper with it, then started to find many different places to use it once I discovered all the DIY benefits you mentioned. I've used it on 4-5 different types of projects so far. As you said, not inexpensive but I've always been really happy with the results.

Should have said something Tim. I didn't know it was a no go dup to lead times. I could've pulled some strings. Oh well, good work on the tailgate.

No worries. I also ordered full skids, so bolt ons wouldn't have worked anymore anyway.

Don't worry, I'm sure I'll be ordering from you in the future. In the meantime, I'll keep talking up that sweet recovery bar you guys make

Nice save from the sliders there! I should have said that my main reason for getting them was for a jack point, since there aren't any rocks that big for me to hit in a couple hundred miles in any direction :(
