    I know the GM at Escondido Toyota. I too have an 06 Tacoma that is getting a little long in the tooth. Once I get all my being retired stuff done I will most likely pick up a 2024 4runner. Escondido Toyota will be my first stop.

    The 6 speed is actually a good transmission. It's just programmed like shit in the tacoma.

    Ya i kinda feel the same way about the 3rd gen trans. Its not a huge let down for me either. I have noticed that if you need to change lanes quick in traffic it can be a bit sluggish, but other than that I have no complaints. This is coming from a second gen. I do miss the rattle of the old 4.0 tho

    Maybe down the road Ill do a OTT tune but for now its chill
