The only way those spark plugs got any easier on the Corolla is if they changed themselves.

Think of it this way: taxi companies love them and drive the heck out them. I was at my Toyota dealer and he said they just took a Prius on trade and it had 650k miles on it. He said it wasn't that unusual to see them showing up with 250 to 500 thousand miles.

All I ever did was replace brake pads and once a rear window motor under warranty. Mine was close to that when I traded it in. It survived three trips cross the country and the German autobahn. All the while with very - and I mean very - spotty oil changes in some pretty severe temp extremes. I couldn’t kill that little thing; and believe me it was almost as though I was trying.

Not sure on that. lol. Had the car for a year got it with 45k sold it at 49k because I had two Tacoma’s and the car. Guy down the street bought it. Clean title flawless one owner car. Sold it for 9500$ gave 12k for it. Lost my ass but needed to sell it to get rid of the payment and get my insurance down

This. Get your oil changes on time and always do the required maintenance when you're supposed to. Will not guarantee your vehicle will last 400k, but it will increase your chances.

I wish my Tacoma's plugs were as easy as the Corolla.

Maintenance and average repairs on a gas engine equate to more than a standard prius battery replacement after 5 years.

Back when I had mine I was a very young, poor ass army private struggling to survive. I couldn’t neglect it more if I tried. Matter of fact you probably wouldn’t believe me if I told you how long I drove it like a raped ape without an oil change, and it just kept tooling along despite the abuse.

It won't guarantee it will last 400K but the better you maintain it the longer it will last. Think as the oil as the blood flow, just like yourself take care of yourself and you might live longer, you don't well you will be headed to the scrap yard in the sky, or take a dirt nap. which ever you perfer.

Camry's are couches on wheels, just as reliable as any of the above and more roomy.

Ask the dealer about battery life. I’m pretty sure the high mileage Tesla’s often are above 100k and 85% battery still. That’s full electric, and maybe hybrid perform different. Also, Tesla’s battery tech may be better than Toyota.

Nice analogy Brianz. That's what my dad use to tell me. Maintain and take care of your stuff and it will last you longer.

Tesla is having issues with the batteries catching on fire, Just read a article a few weeks ago about this issue they are having. I believe it was a Bloomberg article. Panasonic is the manufacture for the Tesla batteries.
