Just got a new Tacoma. Had Big-O Bigfoots on my 2003 TRDOR. Not in the market for tires now, but curious what everyone recommends instead of KO2's? I'll admit they do look awesome.
I am mostly on-road, but use the truck off-road occasionally for hunting, scouting for game, and camping on roads that are often meant for ATV's. I've heard really good things about the Michelin LTX AT2 tires. Thoughts on my options?

I stuck with the BFG tires that came stock in the truck until they wore out. Then got 265/75r16 KO2s. Don't know what you mean by "bro".....but I like them.

In the past on other trucks I've had Goodyear, Firestone Destination A/T, and Kumho tires and I still like the KO2 better. Just my opinion for whatever it's worth.

I've done a mod or two
Subbd for all the impending win.... Lol

If you wanna make the off-road guys cream their pants get a tire from Interco or Atturo

I would still suggest KO2's. The "Bro" thing is kind of a joke, but they really are a great tire

Everybody, and I mean everybody, has their own idea of what good tires are. They're black, round, and roll down the road. They're hold air and get you where you're going. Just remember that usually more "off road" (big burly knobs) means less wet/icy pavement traction.

KO2s are good tires, I drive them year round, snow, whatever. I like the Coopers as well but not sure of their winter performance

What exactly do people mean when they say "bro?" I hear people say that a lot. Guess I'm not up to date on my lingo.

The people that spend 4k on suspension lifts to drive to the grocery store and commute to work. Like I said, the Bro thing is just a joke, I know plenty of people that run the KO2s and KOs for real offroading and racing, and they are awesome. I have owned 3 sets of KOs, and will likely getting the KO2s on my new truck because I trust the heck out of the design.

Toyo AT2 or RT is what I'm looking at. AT2 is cheaper than the KO2, RT looks more capable for about the same price.

How about wet weather performance? Here in AZ we get more than occasional monsoon related hydroplane situations. Do they grip well in heavy rain/flooding?

I lived in fountain hills for a while, right outside of scottsdale. Drove the KOs through plenty of monsoons, never really had an issue that I remember

Just got falken at3's. So far they are a great all around tire. I've been off-road with them and they have plenty of traction. Super quite on road which is great! We'll see how they hold up to their 55,000mile warranty.

I had KO2s once upon a time and they are exactly that... a bro tire. The compound sucked and they didn't last worth a shit.

Cooper, General.... anything but KO2s brahhhh

Also not to mention a way over priced tire.

Always get good traction on curbs and never had an issue with water around the parking lot... :anonymous::notsure:
