So if this was your kid what would you do?

First thing I would do is remove everything from his room.
I mean Everything. He would have a blanket and a pillow
and clothes. He would earn it all back. One item at a time.
He would learn respect real quick. Send his ass to Military
School. Would be my last idea.Age would be a big factor in
the discipline. Why does he still have his phone to tweet?
That would be the first to go.

There is nothing you can tell this dad to help, he didn't understand what it means to be a parent when this kid was younger, what makes you think he will start now.

I don't think shooting the PS3 is the answer. That is just stooping to his level... though it WOULD be satisfying. I would be taking EVERYTHING that he doesn't need to live away though and make him earn back all the luxuries that you provide and he obviously takes for granted.

 

Give him a big hug,whisper in his ear," you got to sleep". Parents try to be their kids "friends" and it bites them in the ass every time. Man up and be a parent. Start them out of the womb, my dad rode my ass and I love him to this day with all my heart.

I'm only 30 and I saw alot of this growing up. Youth have no respect and its time they learned. Tough love is the way to go. He will respect you more in the long run for it.
