You mean those couple of emails hacked by the Russian dudes? Those guys were lame, but there's bad apples in anything. Evidence is overwhelming, just ask the polar bears, or the shrinking glaciers in MT, or the disappearing snow pack in the Sierra, or the droughts in the SW, or the bleaching coral reefs, or, or....

Those "couple of emails", which were more like hundreds, were from "scientists" whose work the IPCC based it's findings on. Practically the entire myth of global warming is based on their findings and they have now been discredited.

Your evidence is not overwhelming. Polar bears? Seriously? Their population is exploding. Shrinking glaciers? They have advanced and receded many many times in the earth's history. Were there people driving SUV's thousands of years ago? Disappearing snow and droughts? What does that have to do with global warming? Again, they are instances that have occurred many times in the earth's history. For example, wine grapes were grown during medieval times in England. Not now.

I'll simply ask this: What is the perfect median temperature for the earth? If you don't know the answer, then there's no debate because without knowing that, then you can't say whether a climate event is good or bad for the earth.

BTW, do you find it to be just a coincidence that increased solar activity (i.e. solar flares) lead to a warmer climate and, currently, decreased solar activity has lead to a cooling trend since 1998? That would be a heck of a coincidence, wouldn't it? You know, considering Mars also saw a warming trend concurrent with ours. No SUV's on Mars, methinks.

    Its called cyclical weather patterns.

You do know that the our last ice age was caused by all those cave men burning dirty torches, right?

True, long term trends are what it's all about. The earth is 4.5 billion years old. How far back do we have climate records?

For my Marine Bio Class, part of my Final was to do a research project on how Global warming is affecting the arctic and I found records of temperature changes for the last 400 years and they are always fluctuating. You can look at climate records in tree rings and get a semi-accurate reading of how the climate was that year and if there were any natural disasters in that area such as fires and so on.

I'm not saying that carbon emissions don't lead to "Global Warming," but the Earth has done this before and goes in cycles of heating and cooling.

Been a long time since I've been in those temps and I don't plan on being in them again. Spent 3 years in Fairbanks in the early 80's, working out in those temps. Didn't make me a man, though :D

Yes our trucks definitely DO have a negative on the thermometer. Now I've seen it too many times. It has warmed up quite a bit thought, it was only -10 or so this AM! I'll get pics next time it starts getting extreme!
