Congrats on just thinking about it and coming up with a plan! That's usually the biggest hurdle. Living up here (and having family that lived in Stateline before they retired and moved to Whidbey Island), I can honestly say you'll love it. Snow FTMFW!

What snow? Well...at least this year. :D
Honestly I've always wanted to live in the Tahoe area. I love the snow and the mountains. I'm a regular snowboarder and between my wife and I we own three 4x4 Toyotas. Bring on the snow!!!!!

Well you said you wanted to do Rubicon this year! Gimme a call anytime Max.

    Nice.

Sounds like a good plan, and good decision.

I'm betting you'll find working remote more of a hassle than you think, and you'll have to go the extra mile to make it work. But you're still in the same time zone and that makes it easier.

Technically since I switched roles back in August last year, one could consider what I'm doing now working remote. All the people I direclty work with are in the SF, Chicago or Boston offices. I'm based in San Jose, litterally a 1 man crew for my position there. I sit quietly in an excluded row of empty workspaces. At least working from home I can wear pj's to work. :D

Congrads! If I didn't love the beach so much I'd be out of here ASAP! At least you have some incredible boarding close by (assuming it ever snows again). Enjoy the new house!
