Congrats Jason. Sounds like it was the best decision and will benefit everyone. I was worried you were going to move to Texas or something. Tahoe would be sweet to move to and we should plan a bbq/wheeling trip this summer for all the NorCal guys to welcome you into your home once you're settled.

Good decision. We did the same for similar reasons, and moved to New Mexico. Only 2 million rather than 38 million people. Bought 3 times the home we could own in CA, and the state's in the black.

I wish I could do that, my parents aren't doing so well (old age)' and my uncle just recently diagnosed with lymphoma, 4 round of chemo. My 2 sisters still live in the same town and I travel back now once a month to spend the weekend taking care of my dad to help give my mom a break, Problem with that is it costs 600 round trip and finding time from work is almost impossible at the moment. He is at the point where he needs almost 24 hour care. I would move back but the battle to keep my children afloat where I live seems never ending None the less you are doing the right thing man for being close to your family. I wish you the best of luck man.

Nice choice!! My parents left Cali in the mid-80s and they hated it then, cant imagine how bad it is now.

Cant think of a better place to live than right where you picked. Never run out of fun things to do there!

    Best of luck!

Being that you'll be so close to everything, I suggest buying a Prius, so that you save money on gas. I mean; since you'll have more to do, you'll be driving more...
Supercharged LT tacos are horrible for gas mileage.

Obviously, the only thing to do is to ship that badass motherfucker to Hawaii. Don't really see a way around it now... :notsure:
