My Tundra gets about the same MPG on 35s that my Tacoma did on 33s. I averaged 13mpg on a cross country trip with the Tacoma.

That’s terrible. Even my two 2nd gen on 33s got consistent 16-17mpg and one was on trail grapplers (terrible rolling / tread pattern). My turd gen on 33s gets 18-19 consistently.

 

Why is he selling already? Gorgeous truck. I’m a sucker for a clean black truck.

How much money did you lose on this? Curious because I’ve contemplated it in the past.

 

I traded my gen 2 for one. I usually get buyer's remorse after purchasing something as small as shoelaces... not with my Tundra. I have enjoyed every mile in this thing. 5.7 V8, 4.30 gears, 4X4. Good stuff.

 

Not as much as everyone thinks, the great thing about Tacomas. I traded my 16 SR5 DCLB 4WD with 16k miles for $31k in 2017 (Paid $33.5k new), I traded my 17 TRD OR DCSB 4WD Tech/Prem/JBL with 19k miles for $33k in 2019 (Paid $36k new). I traded my 6 month old 19 TRD OR DCSB 4WD Tech/Prem with 8k miles for $35k this month (paid $36.5k new).
And yes before the flaming begins, I lost some money, not a ton, I'm single choose to live with roommates and make a decent amount of money where I can afford to jump vehicles when I choose knowing fully its not the best financial decision, but dont care, still saving and still have a nice retirement account, I'm just a big kid still playing with his hot wheels.

 

Same reason the Dakota had 6 and the Ram 5.

So you couldn't use the same wheels.
