    Tundra is a good truck.
    But no clutch available.
    That leaves me out.

    Auto manufacturers LOVE buyers like you! At least you stayed with a quality product like Toyota and didn’t jump ship for the Big 3.

    Maybe, the Supra is a BMW engine, the Twin Turbo rumored for the new Tundra is a Lexus engine (from the LS500h) and thus current Toyota parts bin engine.

    I'm talking about the old one. The new one is dead to me.

    Lol, I feel ya man. I watched an indepth review and Toyota didnt even bother hiding all the BMW logos, name plates, etc. So freaking sad because the design is gorgeous.

    NO ONE has a great track record with turbos. not in the long run.(except diesel engines for some reason, I guess the large spools and slow speeds)
    The reason Tundras are so reliable is because of no gas saving gee gaws like the big 3.

    However, if they want to make an underpowered hybrid version w/o turbos, they could easily pull it off.

    You can't have everything.

    Tundras are made in Kentucky with more American parts than you can imagine. Might as well be the big 4 now. The new Tundra is more American than two bald eagles making love on the hood of an IROC Z. Still good trucks, just not Japanese pure bred anymore.

    Isnt the Tacoma pretty American too? I read something about how it's more American than the Ranger, Colorado, Frontier, etc. with more parts / part suppliers and assembly here in the US.

    laughs. Not even close. When it gets that close I'll just buy a Chevy since they're so much cheaper.

    Just did this myself. Couple tanks through the tundra so far and getting about two mpg worse so far. Worth it for the extra comfort.

    Loved my Tacoma but the long weekend trips with 300 miles one way and the desert was just beating on my back and neck a bit too much these days.

    My first full size truck (not counting a couple old f100 that were just toys) and very happy so far. Parking is a bitch but I've just started walking farther in the parking lots. So far so good.

    Enjoy the new truck OP and thanks for everything Tacoma world, you guys have been great.

    Yeah and once you add lift and tires the MPG's drop to a whopping 9 MPG's on the highway!

    I had a Tundra for 2.5 years and now have had my Tacoma for 1.5 years. Both TRD OR

    Tacoma = 19.7 mpg
    Tundra = 14.4 mpg

    This is for me driving exact same routes to work daily over the years.

    Hence the 38 gallon tank, that’s pretty huge

    Gotta love that resale! My coworkers think I’m crazy until I show them the paperwork, reason I won’t be straying from Toyota anytime soon.

    All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    He is going Jeep Gladiator or something.

    I think they’re cool in their own right but gawd they are ugly and way overpriced.
