All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I don’t care for them. I would own Landcruiser of any year before that.

I thought briefly about a Gladiator, but I just don’t have enough confidence in Fiat/Chrysler to spend the money to buy one. Also I wanted a roomier back seat which pretty much means a full size.

Yep lots of 18 JLU inventory still laying around, I think Jeep overpriced the JL. My moms JLU Rubi has been solid but it’s most a grocery getter.

17x9" scs br6 -38 offset wheels. Bilstein coilover suspension. Viper cut and cmc in front. Add a leaf 2" lifted in rear.
Tell me you got the 5.7 liter. I hear 2020 is going to be the last year for the any v8 tundra. They are going with the v6 hybrid for the 2021 drivetrian. Something close to 400 horsepower thou and 30 mpg.

    A few.
I wouldn't count on that. All speculation.

Sooo... what are you doing with your tundra that the tacoma was not able to do? Do you haul and tow heavy loads often? I mean... I get the lack of balls issue with the 3.5 but unless you're towing a lot, the Gen 3 should be fine for most things.

People on here criticize even the most mundane financial decisions as being foolish. I get the logic. Preparing for the future. But I prefer the life where all of my money is “fuck you” money, No kids/no wife. I still try to prepare, and I’m not wealthy, but 2k dropped for lifestyle enhancements is the nature of the beast. And it is a fiiiinnnnne beast.

There is more to it than hauling and towing. Front seat comfort is better (for me). Rear seat room, even in the DC is way better as well. Ride comfort. Big bed. And the V8 engine sound. All things that may sway people to the Tundra.

I just can't stand driving a fullsize on a daily basis. And the gas mileage. It's bad enough in the Tacoma.

I hear you OP. I somehow found myself on a test drive in a 2019 Silverado yesterday... Holy shit the Tacoma's low end is so bad its not even funny. I noticed but didnt realize it was this bad until a I drove something else.

    Enjoy your Tundra.

Thanks man, right, when I'm 80 I'm not going to look back in fond memory of how I was fiscally conservative saving that $2-3k but will definitely smile about driving home that sweet new ride.

That's awesome dude. I happy for you but that's not what you stated in your original post. There's nothing wrong with trading for a bigger truck just because you want to.:)

I laugh when people say that. If the tank size is so bothersome just put in 21 gallons instead of filling it. It’s all the same

Congrats, man. I was looking at Tundras for the past six months, but the Taco fits my needs better. No doubt that 5.7 is badass. My favorite is a Cement Doublecab 6.5’ bed.
