Thanks and sorry you had to go through that. However, I've personally known multiple people who tell me opposite. Smitty here with new taco rear diff? Others with springs, transmission, etc... I'm 6'2 and my legs feel much better in jeep than taco. I never could get comfortable in taco. As far as reliability, I see a lot of old jeeps here where I live, just like tacos. I think they are both great, not in any way bashing tacos.

just cause you own a jeep doesn't mean you have to leave the forums .. lots of people on here don't even own a taco ..

    ... and this thread sucks

Lol, ok. Hey, at least I can say I've had both. I think some are a little envious of others in life. Kinda like the fat guy who calls the fit guy skinny to make himself feel better.

Congrats on your new Jeep, you do not have to say goodbye, as @Large said many here do not even own tacomas no more no more.

True, I never left this forum after selling my '12 Taco. I was less active, but somehow always knew I'd own another. I own a Jeep, but spend more time here than on Jeep forums. :)

    Good luck with that (Jeep)!
I usually keep mines a long time, so I'm looking for long term reliability and maintenance not a 2-3 year guy here either.
After I'm done, I'll find a family member or friend in need of a spare or DD and pass it down in like new reliability.

But whatever floats your boat, have FuN!

    Cheers!

If you didn't like sitting in the dealership waiting on mechanics with your Tacoma, you are going to HATE your Jeep in the not so distant future.

Best friend has a 2015 Wrangler with 3.73:1 diff, 2.5" teraflex lift and 34" tires and its slowww. Houston-to-Colorado and back the jeep could barely do 85 mph my bro (2014 Tundra) and I had to switch out of being the lead vehicles for him bc with out us infront of him he would start swaying and gas mileage drop dramatically. Not hating on the jeep but if you really want to know which vehicle has more issues go talk to a shop that deals with all vehicles... Older brother manages an auto mechanic shop and always have wranglers in there...

I don't like the transmission or engine either but love the rest.
Jeep is junk, fact. Enjoy the resale value!
Glad you are trying to be positive but it won't hide the facts. Maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones but the odds are stacked against you.

Damn a hell of a deal for a newer wrangler... GF wanted one and they only thing we could find for 20K was like a 2012 with 60-80K mileage.

I call BULLSHIT! We are on our 5th Jeep. 3 have been JK's. Only one went in to the shop for an issue(oil leak on the block). The wife got rear-ended in the 08 and the roll cage was a lifesaver. Didnt look like much damage. The rollcage prevented it from buckling. she only had a very slight case of whiplash. Sittin still and a Prius driven by a 73yo man hit her at 50mph.
