Well i pulled the deal on an pre owned 2008 Nissan Sentra Spec V. Gas was killing me in the taco. I got the car for $12,900 with 34k miles on it, But my dad is going to take over payments, since i only owe 2 1/2 years left The dealership was going to give me $7,500 for my Tacoma with 164,000 miles on it but i decided to keep the truck in the family. I will have a set of procomp 16'' 7089's forsale in the forsale section so take a look at those they are only a month old. I love my taco and i will still be on the boards.

Pictures will be posed tomorrow of the Spec v :burnrubber: since i just got home from the dealer.

gotta do what you gotta do, At least your keeping it in the family, that is pretty cool. Good luck with the new vehicle!

At $3.15 per gallon, you could have bought over 4,000 gallons of gasoline for your truck instead of a car! Good luck with the new car!

I did the same thing in 2008. I bought a new Nissan Versa and traded in a 2002 Dodge Ram. Went from 11 mph around town to 28mph. After 2 years I couldn't stand not having a truck so I gave the Versa to my wife and traded in her 06 Camry for my 07 Reg cab. I still get around 20 mph around town and love my little truck. Good luck with the Sentra, there great cars. My daughter has a 2001 Sentra which sold me on Nissans.

I had an 05 SER Spev V, loved it. Got 35 mpg consistently, and it was quick. Traded it for my Honda S2000 which is also pretty quick but averages 30 mpg. I also have a 2010 Tacoma four cylinder that I'm getting between 25 and 30 mpg, but it sure isn't quick by any stretch of the imagination.
You won't be sorry for your choice of the Sentra.

Good luck with the new ride. I couldn't part with my Taco. Luckily it's paid off. I'm looking for a new job might have to have a bit of a commute so I'll probably buy a couple year old commuter car. The gas prices and MPG don't really bother me I just don't want to be putting 30k miles a year on the truck.

Good luck with the new car but wouldn't it be cheaper to just pay cash for a $2-3K beater and have both ?

It would be cheaper to drive a beater but im not going back to driving a beater, to spoiled i figured if i can afford it why not just get it. only reason i got the spec v is because i got it financed with 4.9 %
