Sound is constant, but the picture flashes on and off rapidly. I’m guessing this is bad. Any electronics guys around here?

Google the make, model and short description of the problem and you can probably find an answer.

I have an LG and Insignia and both are a POS. Picture is great but function and app/interface are terrible. Both are 2018 so hopefully I get at least 5 years out of them. I've got a 2005 Panasonic that has really good picture and functions perfect. Never an issue. Mostly because it isn't a "Smart TV". I usually buy Panasonic or Sony TV's but the whole Smart TV age has left a sour taste in my mouth and I'm hesitant to spend money on the new expensive models.

Most newer TVs have an issue where an internal resistor burns out due to a short (most likely from being moved). The thinner the TV, the more prone they are to shorting out because the tolerances are so tight. If there is an indicator LED (like a red light to tell you the power is on) watch it carefully. If it blinks in a pattern, that's a code (similar to OBD codes). You can google the code and it'll tell you what's wrong and how to fix it. I fixed my parents TV with $7 worth of resistors vs. buying a new one for whatever the fuck they go for nowadays. I haven't bought a TV in over 13 years. There's an online "fix it" guy that specializes in these types of repairs and has youtube how-to videos. He sells repair kits for each make and model depending on what the code is that contains all the resistors and/or hardware you need to complete the repair. I'll look up the link and post it later.

Probably a bad main board. Check for bulging resistors

It's commiting suicide on account of being aware that there is nothing worth watching, giving it a sense of uselessness.

Feed it a steady diet of M*A*S*H and try again in the morning.

Yes, LGs are trash. I had one that lasted only 5 years too. Repair was more than a new 55" would cost.
