And the answer is AN INCH AND A QUARTER AT A TIME. Explain to me how that is such a difficult concept for you to grasp.

jack it up 1.25", put a stand under truck. lower jack, add another block under jack. jack up 1.25". raise stand under truck by 1.25". lower jack. add another block under jack. repeat 10000x. finish changing your tire right around Christmas if you start today.

Not difficult to grasp at all.
    It’s just another mischaracterization.

It only takes a lot of tries if you do something silly, like jack against the frame. If you lift closer to the wheel, you won't need much more than 1.25" total.

Or another trick with a little bit of imagination, you might even be able to do the job without a jack at all. Everybody who uses a truck as a truck has a bunch of big ratchet straps with them wherever they go, right? So just put a stick, or something under the FRAME, and ratchet strap up the suspension. Did that once years ago stuck with an old truck with a rusted jack that wouldn't budge.

Ingenuity is what is supposed to separate people from animals.

I had a chainsaw but no jack once. Drop a tree and there’s all kinds of leverage for you to get the truck lifted up. Had a friend to help luckily.

Gonna adopt your tagline to stay above the fray, hopefully, from here on in.

I carry this with my OEM jack to compensate for the needed height. Then when my spare is replaced and truck still off the ground, I get my wife and kids out of the truck to play the jenga game to lower the truck.
