So all these other Tacoma owners can flame and post bashing posts towards me and my brothers vehicle, but yet I’m the only one who receives the “10 second” loading page times.

Like he said. He would put the VQ 40 up against that 3.5 any day of the week.

Interesting, the new 3.8L Frontier engine is not a VQ block, will be interesting to see what it is. I never liked the water pump location in the 4.0L VQ, inside the timing chain cover. The new 3.8L revs very quickly to 7,000 rpms. 310 hp. The new body style for 2021 looks nice, looks kinda like a 2020 GMC 1500 4x4 only downsized. Big squared fender flares.

Buy a motorcycle or sports car . Toyota trucks have always been slow. Until they made the tundra . I have always loved a slow ass Toyota truck though . Perfect for trails or rocks . I wouldn’t ever buy a tundra .

I just bought my Tacoma. My dad has had his frontier for a while (his second one) and I have always liked it.

I had to rent a PRO4X before I got a company car on a job I did in Ohio. That thing was unstoppable in the snow and I loved it.

But once I got into my Tacoma I knew it was the right choice. It fits me and all of my needs and looks bad ass at the same time. My old man's Frontier is just like him, easy going and reliable.

I was onto the Pro-4X! Of course the Nissan dealer advertises 28K.........Steal! Then when you go in they tell you every reason why you will not qualify for that price. Best I could get was 34K OTD! It was a nice truck, tons of power! I stole my SR V6, 4x4, Double Cab today for under 30k OTD, and will look 1M times better then the Pro-4X when I'm done! When on the drive home I had to double check the window sticker to make sure they didn't switch me out to the 4 Cyl! Man it feels like a 4Cyl!!!!!!!

    I had a rental pro 4x frontier for a while. I also have a 2nd gen tacoma.

Reason frontier feels peppy is because the throttle is setup that way. It felt like 25% throttle travel is 50% in a frontier. When I drove it I was like woah thing is so fast! Then I floored it over and over to find out that it isnt any faster. The throttle is just setup to make it feel that way.

I must say though, the frontier drives better than the tacoma. The steering in the frontier is super heavy, heaviest I've ever felt in any vehicle with power steering. Combine that with the way the throttle is, perfect.

But, it looks meh compared to Tacoma's. I feel like it's a much smaller truck too. Idk if I'll ever drive a Nissan truck unless it's for the price.

I haven't driven one but my one friend told me tight turns sucked because it felt like it had the turning radius of a battleship, lol.

Accurate. Mine is the crew cab/long bed, turning isn't great. I got used to it eventually, but driving it makes my taco feel like a go kart.

My best friend has a frontier. I've driven it plenty and it does fine accelerating, he treats it like shit, but my god that turning radius. I'm fairly certain my old M984 Wrecker would give it a run for it's money in a turning competition.

The Nissan is a solid vehicle and will be just fine on trails. It does need a refresh, styling and technology and drivetrain wise. But it's no slouch offroad.

The 2020 has an all new drivetrain, 3.8L V6 with 310hp/281lb-ft and a 9spd automatic. 2021 is a complete redesign, Nissan has teased in a video show casing their upcoming and updated vehicles:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiqOLRJi7nU

"F" is obviously the new Frontier, you don't see much more than a silhouette but even that is very different from the current truck. It still looks pretty compact next to the Armada/Patrol. What's interesting is the shape and lights match this leaked image:

Unrelated but also interesting is "Z" which is a replacement for the 370Z that has been rumoured for quite some time now.

Oh dang they finally did some updates. Will be nice to see.

I didn't notice Maxima in that video. I kinda want another Maxima. I used to have a 97, loved that thing.
