I remember in years past many auto makers had unique anti theft codes for their radios. If you had to disconnect your battery for example you might need to enter a code to make your radio work.

From what I can tell I don't see any mention of codes with respect to 2014 Entune Audio Plsu radios - is that correct?

Are these radios popular to steal?

Not unless they are stealing it and installing the radio in another Tacoma. The radio is a big piece of the dash and is made into one piece. It is too big for most cars , so it has no value outside of the Toyota world.

Stock radios arent on the priority list especially when theyre known to fail. lol.

I wouldnt be worried, id be more worried with other valuables in there, especially name brand things.

Actually my worry was that I couldn't find a code anywhere. Previous cars came with 'codes' and sometimes dealers charged $$$ to lookup a lost code.

So no 'codes' on these Toyota radios? Cool.

Who is old enough to remember the "Pull out radio" Had a handle that would pop out, and you pulled the entire thing out when you left the vehicle. Then shortly behind that was the detachable face.
