What are you going to do with your second truck? You should get a diesel to tow your tacoma and SAS it.

No, I would go Duramax or Cummins over powerstroke for sure!

That new 6.7L Powerstroke is looking pretty strong, but yeah I would take a Duramax anyday.... Cummins---No. Only because its put in a Dodge

Well the V8 option is just a wish... Probably wont happen unless I find an awesome deal.

And plus the second truck will be no more than $8k, so basically a beater truck. The pops and I will be splitting the cost down the middle.

Why don't you get an old 4runner/ toyota pickup? What kind of terrain do you have where you live?

A little of both. I can have the rocky, clay terrain and then go about 2 hours South and I have sand.

I was looking into a 1985+ 4Runner and a Pre-Tacoma, but most of those are still in the high $9k+

i'd say go with LT. sas is so specific for just large rocks, where as even with LT you can do just as much rock crawling as any other tacoma, and then go hit the dunes on the weekend.

plus, with the 8 grand you'd spend on a tundra, you would already have long travel on the taco
