Ok, I have had Directv since 2004. I just upgraded to a DVR reciever this past Feb. 23, at lunch time as a matter of fact. So the other day I open my May 2012 bill and there is three adult movies added to my bill. From what date you ask??? Feb 23rd at 4:00, 4:30, and 5:30 pm......from my old reciever.....using my old remote control......... DTV said they found it while evaluating my old equipment.......of course the dtv man took all that with him when he left, and I guess he went home and hand a party.
So, I called DTV and they will not touch the charges, I guess someone calls every day saying "i didn't watch those nudey movies"!! The thing is the guy works for a contractor with directv, which I have contacted........and they were supposed to get back with me today....they didnt.
    So what should I do????

That is some funny stuff. You must have a receipt showing that the DTV guy picked up the stuff?? Just need to prove he left your house before 4:00pm.

Dave will know when your new access card was activated, and will know that your old card was deactivated.

Was your new receiver working when he left? If so then you temporarily had two subbed cards... Send a certified letter contesting the bill to BOTH Dave and the contractor.

I've had DTV for 16-17 years now and I've went round and round with them about other things and usually chew them down on things. Apparently that's how they do business. For instance, once they tried to charge me a fee for dropping a premium channel. WTF? But after arguing with them until I was blue in the face they dropped that.

Anyway the thing I wanted to say is the last few time's I've upgraded my equipment the installer DID NOT take the old stuff with him. They told me that was between me and Direct and that Direct would send me postage paid boxes to send them back. So I don't know why your installer would take them with him.

Well, I dont have a reciept saying that. Directv says they dont keep up with exactly what time of day the new recievers are activated. I can say that my appt. to get the work done was between 8am and 12pm. I really dont have any proof that he came before 4:00pm. I was at work this whole time.....my mom met him at my house to let him in to do the work, he got here around lunch time.

After the install I got my first bill and it was high. I called and they said it was because I had two recievers. I told them I only had the one reciever and that it had just been upgraded.......THERE WAS A LOT OF CONFUSION OF THE ADDING OR REPLACING OF EQUIPMENT!!!!!!

Thinking about calling the local news channel to see what they think. Wanted to give the company plenty of time to respond first.
