    Thanks for all the replies.

Honestly, this experience has helped put things into perspective.

The woman with the gun is my mom using her rolling walker to see my truck.

I didn’t take any photos of the tree, but the ranger did when he came on scene. He also got a statement from the people in the car behind me.

I know this won’t be an easy fix. But I loved my truck while I had it.

I do have a gas cap holder, but not a MESO one. Is that visible?

And the nitrous is spare O2 for my mom. Lung issues.

The tree broke into several parts when it hit. The guy in the car behind me, the ranger, and I were able to move the chunk that hit the bed from the road.

fingers crossed I don’t need to part out.

Atleast you have a good outlook on what’s important. If you had not seen that car behind you and hadn’t increased speed could’ve landed on the windshield or cab. Never know what could’ve happened glad you aren’t too upset and realize vehicles are just materialistic. And now that you mention that an oxygen tank your lucky that didn’t get hit as I’m
Sure a hard impact could cause issues. Maybe go buy a lottery ticket! Sure you have a better chance of winning big then what just happened to you.

Wowzers. Good thing you can find these trucks with wrecked front ends all over the place, so sourcing a new bed shouldn't be too much of a problem. Always a great excuse to go flatbed now too. :sawzall:
Glad you and the pups are okay. Insurance should cover the rest.

Here's the real question - did the tree make a sound while falling?

Better hope your insurance doesn't find out the dog was driving.

This same thing happened to me a couple years back, but without the damage. I was driving down a FS road with a buddy and a 3' x 1' log fell off and tree. It landed perfectly in the center of the bed...no visible damage. Def had skid marks in my britches after that one.

Second, glad you and your pups are okay.

Fourthly, you may have the in famous leaky brake light, just a friendly reminder :anonymous:

Sucks a lot, but could have been much worse. I would actually consider you lucky in this situation. Glad you're ok!
