Pulled the bumper off, got some cardboard boxes from the local Sears. Mocking one up today! Super pumped about it, hopefully it turns out good, this is my first bumper build so we'll see. I'll be updating as the build goes on

Got her mocked up for the most part! Hopefully cut and get everything welded or at least tacked up tomorrow. I'm torn on whether to color match silver, flat black, or just rhino line it??? What do you guys think???

Thanks man!!! I'm hoping it turns out good! Either gonna have a 20 inch bar with 4 cubes or just 4 cubes flush mounted!

Sub'd to see the results. I'm really on the fence between designing my own bumper and getting a relentless diy kit. How are you planning on doing all the cutting? Good ole angle grinder? Or do you have a plasma cutter? Looks great so far

Gettin there, 2 more pieces to cut. Clean them up, and get started on mounting brackets. And I'm using 1/8th steel plate, just shy of 3/16ths. Can't decide if that's heavy duty enough or if I should build gussets on the inside???? Than the recovery points are going to be 1" steel plate

5/16" would be a little to heavy duty hahahaha

Exactly, hence the question! So you are using 5/16" and 1/8", or all 1/8"?

I used 1/4" for the winch cradle and mounting pieces on mine, and 10 ga for the skin. Definitely needs gussets with the 10 ga on the wings, 1/8" for sure will, your design looks somewhat similar to mine.

Ya im just using all 1/8". I figured it would probably need gussets. Thanks for the info man! You should put up a pic of your bumper!
