First I am not the most advanced of posters so please forgive if this has been done before. I did try to search but did not find anything.

I currently have a 2014 DC TRD sport 4x4 w/ 21000 miles. I will be selling in January. I'm curious what folks have recently bought or sold for. How long did it take to sell and did everyone sell locally? Thanks,

Check KBB for a rough trade in or private sale number first

Thanks - I did that... I was interested in what folks in the "real world" had experienced.

For a good "real-world" idea, take your truck to Carmax and let them appraise it, no charge.

With a truck that new and with those low miles, you may be surprised at just how much it is worth.

    Quick story (hopefully)

A friend of mine recently passed away and one of the things on his bucket list was a new Jeep Wrangler.

He found a great deal on one and bought it.

Sadly he passed away a couple of months later and his wife was left with the payments.

The original selling dealer offered much less than payoff to take it back even though it had less than 900 miles total.

Carmax offered almost 2k over payoff. Problem solved.

When I sold my 98 Tacoma I used KBB to determine my local value and adjusted it up from there based on the truck being in excellent condition for a old truck. The first person bought it for 1k over kbb.
In the end, it is what felt fair to me and that's what matters.

Most buyers will also use kbb to determine the value so that's a good starting reference.

I've owned 2 Tacomas and they seem to be the only vehicles I don't lose my ass on when selling/trading in.

Ive only had my 09 for about 4 months. I'm the second owner bought it with 75k for $24,500 from the dealer. For east TN I looked for almost a year. I was looking for a DC, most ranged from 16-26k depending on miles.

Fill out the location in your profile. Otherwise 'around here' doesn't do much good.

NJ, and there's a reason my profile is limited (prior experience here). Happy now? FFS

    just sold my 05 for $8200, 160000m.
I think the kkb toped out at $11000
I got a ton of calls and some no shows but 1 guy was persistent and he came with cash.
It was a little less than I wanted but within my range that take.
Negotiations were hard because he spoke no English and his wife spoke very little.
Don't think he understood all the goodies that were included.
    Bought a 14 trd ac 4x4 32000m for $22500.
Took me 4months to find it.
I saw a lot priced higher but they have been for sale a while.
    priced right they go fast.
At trade in they offered me $5K
Sorry for the run on just my recent experience
This time of year car sales are slower in NJ - holidays getting cold
