    Hi guys.
After readings threads and threads on shocks,,Man i really don t know what to
    think anymore.
I am having my shocks replace, and i am trying to decide what shocks to choose!
Some will say Bilstein 5100 are great, then we read threads that a lot are leaking after a few months, etc
I am thinking Bilstein, but if they do have lots of comin back with problem,i want something else.
Original shocks are not that great, and i do beleive that.
My wife s Camry SE is a 2013 ,one shock is already gone,,,so i do think that Toyota s shocks are not that fantastic...
So putting Toyota shocks on my Tacoma is not my interest..
What about Monroes,KYB,Ranchoes,And others,i know that some will say that some are good, some will say that some are terrible.
I don t do much off road except in the winter we do lots of ice fishing and do go on ice everywhere in my area..
Then again i like to have good performance on the road ,right now my shocks are driving me crazy ,because our town has terrible road conditions...
Also,i finally found a Toyota Dealer that will install whatever i choose since my home town Dealer will install only those ORIGINAL s one..
    Thanks

5100's are about as reliable and reasonably priced as you can get if you want to maintain ride height. I think failures are pretty rare and they are very low maintenance compared to some.

Some tacomas come with the 5100's now so a dealership should be more comfortable installing them. Better off going to a tire shop anyway I bet.
