Oh ok I'll have to keep an eye on the rpms than next time I have it on. Is it used for low end power or top end?

I researched it so I'm gonna answer my own question here...it holds each gear a little longer it does not help throughout the entire rpm range. It helps out through 1-3 gears. So it's bottom end power. Once in 4th the torque converter locks up normally into what feels like 5th gear.
