I have too many good memories with my old college buddies in this truck. I'm going to keep it until the wheels fall off or until Toyota comes out with a decent turbo diesel.

    Nice! Love that grey

Originally I was going to just trade in the prerunner for another tacoma but a friend of mine had a jeep at the time and I drove it around with the top and doors off... I was hooked. I had an s10 so I told myself I didn't need two trucks and talked myself into getting the jeep. I had a lot of fun with it but it just wasn't as practical as the tacoma.

That looks really good! Looks like the front and back are pretty level by looking at the distance between the top of your tires and the fender!

I love my 2012. I'm hoping to keep it until the frame rusts out and the wheels fall off.

Unless your second gen is at the end of its life, why take a financial hit on a 3-5 year old truck just to have the latest and greatest model? Big deal. The 16's will have bugs too, just wait. At least all 2nd gens gremlins are in the open and can be fixed or improved upon for the most part with aftermarket parts galore! I'm in for the long haul with mine

I rather have my '10 than the newer ones. Had to drive a 2014 for a month and it didn't feel as firm and wide. Kind more wobbly at about 80, to me at least.

Save my money and keep the 2010 and get the 2016. The front looks so badass

My 05 is payed for and with getting the new frame would be hard to part with her. I may be saving back for the next gen like a few others. I am interesting in the manual transmission though.

Drove the 82 for over 500k miles for 27 yrs, had no plan to ever get rid of it but somehow got lured into an 05 AC in 09. Planned on rollin with that one for another 500k but stumbled onto the 08 RC Prerunner SR5 and hopped right out of that 05. Now I don't plan on getting rid of the 08 ever but I guess shit happens but we have a car and a RAV4 so there is no pressure to get anything else and until I see some fabulous modding, have no interest whatsoever in a 3rd gen. It sure is making the 2012-2015s look good tho. There is no way in hell I'll even consider the first year model 3rd gen. You "gotta be first" hippies go find all the weak points and enjoy your new timeshare dealership chair. Went thru too much of that shit with the 05 and it sucked, even with a drivetrain warranty. Have at it..........

When I get her back with her new frame and all associated suspension parts will be keeping another 10 years. Only 114k on her now.
