I usually like to trade between 3-5 years however my ordered 2014 Tacoma Double Cab SR5 with 1300 miles now may be an exception. I owned (4) Tacoma's prior to that and only traded because of the great resale value. This 2014 appears the most refined, I have no regrets. I like the overall quality, mine assembled in Texas with no unions needed. I'm open minded on Ford products if they decide to produce a mid size truck but refuse to own a GM (government motors) product again. My neighbor bought a 2014 GMC 1 ton and we quit counting the recalls he's had so far. I also enjoy being part of the TW family.

What's the plan? Sell it and get another Tacoma? Transfer that Snugtop to a newer model?

I have 20K on my 13'. I am surprised at how little some people here actually drive their trucks, seeing the mileage threads. How do you rack up so many miles?

Same commute as I have, nice. Taking a 3k'ish roadtrip next week, so I'll start to rack on some more miles.

Mine is 60 round trip I should add, 30 miles each way. A lot in traffic, takes about 40-45 mins to get to work, and an hour to get home on most days. I-880 in the Bay Area. Sucks.

I don't sell any vehicle unless it's got over 200K. While I was working my commute was 100 miles a day so along with other driving I did 30-40K a year. Frankly high mileage driving is the very best possible driving you can do as long as your not sitting still in traffic.

It's about to paid off and I hate car notes. With that said, I'll be keeping mine for a long time. I'll be moving into a newer house before I get another vehicle.

Now that I thought about it. I said the same about my 1st gen that I bought new. ('98 SR5 4x4)
Long story short...I was parked in front a CVS, walked out to this guy waiting for me. He came up and asked if I was interested in selling my truck. He made me an offer I couldn't refuse and he drove it off later that day.

    You just never know.

Keeping it as long as i can. Its a 2011 only got 6000 miles on it. The car I got rid of when I got my tacoma had over 600000 miles on it. 1990 Mazda protoege. Refreshed rings and bearings at 500000 miles. Blew a head gasket , ran fine, no anifreeze leaking but was pumping a quart of oil every 80 miles. Plan to run the tacoma as long as I can keep it running.

Mileage..... if so, yes really. Drove 156 miles a day round trip to work and back home . Sold it to my mechanic who has worked on it for last seven years. He drives it every day.

Bought her new in '08 and she's been fine. Considering I only drive mine Winters, I'll have mine for a few more years.

YUP! I was the same, I bought it brand new in 2006. I have tacken it apart and put it back together 100+ times doing mods and maintenance. No one has ever done work on it but me and my friends. I have put it through every extreme situation you can imagine except completely submerged and flipped upside down, LOL!

She got about 130,000 miles and still runs/rides like the day I bought here! Actually, a little better since I swapped the suspension, LOL!

When I have a son I plan to have her in tip top and hand keys over! Otherwise one of us will have to die before she is scrapped or sold, LOL!

Just messing around, but this is great truck and no I will never sell it!

Mine is a lease, have 32 months left. I won't keep this one, undecided if I'll take a new Tacoma or look at a Tundra.
