    No. Solo's XLT kit.

I was only joking though, it's like 4.5" over LT, but requires you cut the coilbucket anyways.

    The bedsides? Cutoff wheel.

well, they're ready now - surprise! (I was when the bend shop came in ahead of schedule)

some modification will be needed to the upper reinforcement because of the SB mount on the Tacoma LCA, but I'll look into that this weekend when I'm near my parts truck.

Doesn't seem to be compatible with a supercharger from where the tubing runs :/

He just sold the top hats. You would need to bend up your own tube for the brace. It's possible to do with a supercharger, you just have to run the tubing differently.

well, turns out the factory swaybar mount base just needs to be trimmed away where it interferes with the upper reinforcement. easy.

I've got some of those as well, if they're needed.

 If I don't go a different direction with my front suspension this winter, I'll pick up a set.

With provisions for secondary shock hoops and a crossbrace?

Was tracking down a clicking noise and pinpointed it to my driver side core support body mount. Took it all apart and found a lot of cracks :anonymous:

Good thing I caught it before it collapsed on itself. This core support is only about 6 months old too. Didn't last too long.

I should prob slow down offroad....

Now to figure out how the hell im gonna reinforce it.

    That's what these are for

It's a go slow rock crawler but I drive it to the trails and will so 75+ all day. I learned back in my jeep days that jumping = expensive and broken.

Mine was starting to collapse there too, but not that bad. I assume you used an aftermarket core support when it was replaced?

Maybe with leafs. I'm kinda thinking a linked SAS with good coilovers may be the best setup for going at least as fast as we already do, and not falling apart.

A good set of coilovers and air bumps and you are right. Shit look at what they are doing in KOH and the "stock" classes with solid axle rigs.

I fixed mine with a ratchet strap pulling the bedsides together while holding the spare tire down. Just have to pull the bedside in a bit when you shut the tailgate. Curious to see how long before a bedside falls off.

yea it was an eBay special.

Didn't think of getting an OEM one at the time. Even if you can which i'm not sure of.

Did you do anything to reinforce it/prevent it from getting worse?

I'm thinking of just plating that area and putting a tube through the bolt hole to brace both ends. Don't particularly remember, but the OEM core support might have a tube that goes through those two holes to do just that.

My core support got the sawzall and angle grinder treatment and I fabbed a new one.

The OEM core support did have quite a bit of structure on those body mount points though.

    Oh yea that's right.

I have a feeling I may find myself going the same route at some point in time, but for now it's gonna be patch work to keep this one alive.
