Seriously people like you on this forum make it pretty annoying. If someone wants to post the same thing or ask the same question let them.

Exactly, you have to rotate the tires anyway and the oil change intervals are probably once a year or 10k miles.

They clearly stole that design from cummins. Wheel well oil changes aren't all that bad once you've done them a couple dozen times.

On the newer cummins you can either go through the passenger side wheel well (with the wheel ON) or take out the air box. This one sounds like you have take the whole wheel off. Reminds me of the super doodies- this is to replace a fuel pump at a dealer:

oh yeah I still have nightmares of my days at Chrysler, spend more time cleaning oil off the truck then it takes to do the actual oil change. especially when there's a quart of oil in those filters

I had 1 Ford 3/4 Ton truck. I will say that it was a hell of a great truck. 460 Motor, 6" lift, 37s geared and locked. Truck sold on Ebay in just a few hours. All that sounds great, but I will never buy a Ford again, to hell with them. I could probably own 2 brand new Tacoma's for what I paid to purchase, build and keep it running. Never again. FORD, WTF...

Cab off is for the high pressure fuel injection pump that sits towards the rear of the valley on the 6.4. Fuel lift pump is in the tank like any other vehicle. Some guys can squeeze them out without lifting the cab but its typically quicker to just lift it.

Actually the SD powertrain was designed for cab-off service on major components. Quick disconnects all over the cab, etc. Takes a good tech about 2 hours to get the body in the air and another 2-3 to put it back on.
