It's a D cell sized tube, with 2 steel freeze plug blast baffles and 5 aluminum baffles. All ordered from different sources. Machining done by me on a drill press.

It's built and registered as a Rem 223 suppressor, but all I've used it for so far is 22 LR.

Even with 1200 fps 22LR it's completely hearing safe. I can hear the hammer fall followed by a down range "crack".

With sub-sonic ammo, it's even quieter, but not as accurate. I've only tried a couple different sub-sonic ammos so far.

It now has zero POI change. That wasn't the case at first. The first day I tried it I was very disappointed. I really don't know how much the POI change was. It was completely off the paper at 25 yards. Yes, that bad.

I experimented with clocking the baffles until I found the sweet spot.

On the 14" Contender barrel, it is definitely muzzle heavy. I have to use a bag rest. With the right ammo, I can shoot a 3" group at 100 yards.

When on my Ruger 22/45 Lite, it's handier. With a Bushnell TRS25 red dot sight I shoot about a 5" group at 25 yards.

I'll probably never use it for Rem 223, but have that option.

Also check to make sure the barrel threaded end cap is square. I made a F1 22 can from a cheap kit that had barrel threads which were not perfectly perpendicular to the shoulder of the cap. When tightened, the whole can tilted to one side. Once I figured that out and re-flattened the shoulder face, POI shift went away.

Notice the rod sticking out the muzzle end. That's how I figured out my problem.

    Ah ha!

I just looked down my bore. If the can was a little loose, I could see a perfect circle. When it was tightened, I saw an oval.....

5 silencers and 3 SBR's. I have a Maxim 9 in ATF jail, and an approved form 1 for an SBS waiting to be built.

    That’s awesome! I wouldn’t mind shooting those.
I really want to shoot a maxim 9, it’s a cool and unique design.

How bad is it though? I’m slightly picky with rifle triggers but I’m still rocking the stock trigger in my M&P 40.

I have shot a stock one. It wasn't great but not terrible either. I ordered the spring kit for mine which should help. Hopefully the ATF will get the stamp back in under a year. It was mailed in late December.

It's pretty bad man. Heavy, gritty, long take-up and mush break. At least the over-travel isn't bad. Reset could be better too as it's a bit long and could be more pronounced. I really wish they would have put more R&D into the fire control since that's one of the most important aspects of a handgun even if it does have a whiz-bang integral suppressor on it. The trigger is still more important which doesn't appear to be SilencerCo's opinion on this one.

I own one. It's not good. I sent four off just over a year ago and just received two back with two more still pending. Hopefully you have better luck than I did on this most recent batch. When I sent them off they were quoting 9 months and based on online spreadsheets I expected them back late January or early February. I got the first one back early July and the second one back a couple of weeks ago. Two more still pending so who knows. I heard a story of a fella who had a dozen sent in around the same time and they grouped them up and returned them all at once making his last few only a few months. I guess four doesn't meet that criteria as the 2nd one I sent a month after the first one but was approved almost a month before the 1st one I sent in. No rhyme or reason apparently.

Ouch. Eform form 1's are quick. I have done 2 this summer. 22 and 26 days.

I wish they would open up eforms for form 4's. The Maxim is the last one I'm planning. Sold a couple machine guns to fund a home remodel several years ago .Miss them but am mostly over the rush of shooting them .

June 4, finished my application stuff with silencer shop. Aug 5, tax stamp complete on my form 4. Picked it up today, I don’t know what happened to get me through so fast but I’m not complaining.

Griffin Armament’s 30 SD-K will be released today....
From the little info I have it’s a good contender for my next can.
    Features:
    Gate lok
    M4SD -2 sized
Very good performance for a ~6.5” 30 cal can.
