    Super easy.
Just fill the reservoir up, turn the steering wheel lock to lock, bubbles come out, fill again, repeat until fluid level is at spec.

With the engine off that is.

    No prob.
I'll be curious how the LROR replacement rack holds up.

From what I can tell it’s a factory remanufactured unit so I’m assuming it’s basically a refreshed OEM part. Maybe someone else knows more about that than me. I’ll give feedback as I rack up the miles on it.

Started major steering overhaul today. Mostly just took stuff apart and cleaned it today.

Looks like you're missing a wheel stud there :anonymous:

Btw, our power steering systems use ATF and not Power steering fluid.

Don't think it's gonna hurt anything, but i'd change it out if it were me.

New rack looks good! I have the same 555 LBJ's and they've help up pretty well for me so far.

I’d read that about the DexMercon trans fluid instead of PS fluid for our system. I’m not sure what the difference is( I guess I could look it up but don’t care to for now) my pump was whining before all of this work so I figured I’d have to swap that out next, I had topped it off a few months ago with DexMercon and again last week when I cleaned the reservoir. After all of today’s work I filled it up with the Royal Purple and bled the system, and the whining went right away. This is what I used today.

The steering stop “horn” has to be ground/cut off to work with the MCM Fab kit. The part in the blue circle.

Sweet. Yea i'm sure PS fluid and ATF aren't too far off from each other. Glad to hear things are dialed in now

Same here. It seems like I may get a little more time out of the stock PS Pump after all. Fingers crossed.

So some months ago I took my truck to PepBoys for an oil change. They F-ed it all up and in the process of finding all of their mistakes I busted a wheel stud. I’m embarrassed to say that it’s taken me this long to fix it. Especially considering the fact that the entire repair took me less than a half hour. Regardless it’s fixed now. Thnx for the helpful reminder @betterbuckleup

I used a stack of grade 8 washers to pull the new stud into the flange

I got a really cheap set of punches from Harbor Freight. Between those and a mini sledge, the busted stud popped right out.

I can't find that they have any that fit a 1999. Still a first gen, mine with a manual, but in your pics the floor looks the same. How do they fit? Any other pictures you can send?
