By never forgetting my last drink keeps me sober today.
Oh I've been in the back of a Cop car more than once.Everytime Cops were involved so was Alcohol! what a coincidence eh?Alcohol,Cunning, Baffling,Powerful,it took me just about forty years to believe that and that I'm powerless over it as well.Nobody liked it when I drank, that didn't matter, towards the end of my drinking career I didn't like it either,it became a necessity.I had become a functioning friken Alcoholic.
    Thanks for now STEVE

Like a guy said to me my first meeting..you didn't get in trouble every time you drank, but every time you got in trouble I bet you were drinking.

Blew my mind. At that point I'd been on the fence, but it was like light dawns on marble head. Said to myself "this guy just met me, don't even know my name..but he knows that. How can that be? Either he's a mind reader...or he's been through the same thing I am in now"

Almost every bad decision I made in my live could be attributed to alcohol. I'm made some horrible mistakes that I would have never made if I had been sober. I was very lucky that I was never in the back of a police car but I came very close one time. It would have probably been the best thing for me if they did put me in the back of the car as it would have made an impression on me. But because I was not, I felt I had a pass to do whatever I wanted. That delayed my sobriety longer than it should have.

Alright, I installed some Hella lights with HID conversion behind my grill and sometimes only the left one comes on. I flip the switch a few times and sometimes that makes the other one come on, but really it only comes on when it decides to. I have tried everything I know and can find info on and it still happens. Through all of this I havent gotten frustrated. Straight up gifts of recovery and sobriety. 4 years ago the lights would have been smashed in the driveway the first time I flipped the switch and they didnt work right. I'm super grateful for this life that recovery has given me and for the ways the steps have changed me. I'm super stoked to be a part of this thread.

I think setting something up like this would be a great idea. Zoom isn't a HIPAA complaint software, but as long as people know that up front and are ok with that, it could be very beneficial especially in this time of staying cooped up. I will look into my Telehealth software and whether or not I can get a group setting with it.

I wouldn't be against it in the least.

I went to a few AA meetings when I got sober but they weren't for me personally. I take nothing away from AA at all. It most definitely has a positive outcome for some. I could get to the first step but after that, I couldn't release it to a higher power as I don't believe in a higher power. But I'm all for meeting any that want to meet up. I've got nothing to hide so HIPPA doesn't apply to me personally lol. I think I've given all my addictions throughout this thread anyway. I'm an open book.

Besides... During these troubling times? What better time for a little human interaction even if it is through the internet like most of us have probably been communicating with family and friends?
