Sobriety.... One year later... Please Read.

I remind myself that the best it's gonna get is I'm gonna wake up feeling like rubbish, wonder what happened last night, and do the Morning March around my truck.

Anyone doing anything fun this weekend?

 

Start of the annual pre Christmas events. I’m in it for the fun & for the kids. It wasn’t always this way.

 

What are your pre Christmas events?

 

I volunteer at a couple places putting together Christmas hampers to those less fortunate. Set up Christmas light convoys for family viewing. All activities to get out of myself & give to Folks that don’t have. Nothin’ changes your attitude like gratitude.

Got a Wrestling event I’m going tonight at the American Legion with a few people in Recovery. Should be interesting, ain’t been to something like this in years, let alone while sober!

 

Don’t forget your Plan B. When Folks start spitting when they’re talkin’ to me it’s usually a sign for me to leave. Sounds like a good time if you’re with others like minded.

 

That will be fun!!!

Last year Aus was asked to be a guest referee at a wrestling event. It was more fun than I expected watching it!

 

Those are always fun, as a longtime fan I prefer going locally for $25 and sitting front row versus a fortune for a big arena show.

 

That first year was very inspiring and revealing for me. The next few years just got better! Keep it up!

 

AA ultimately brought me to my knees, to God. But i stay in AA to be able to help others. Ultimately, bill n bob wanted the alcoholic to find this (a spiritual experience, pain is the cornerstone for spiritual growth). In my experience, i ultimately found the Lord's power was greater than mine to keep me sober, happy, and healthy.

Sure, it all started out innocently enough by putting down the glass. What I didn’t realize was the complete change of thinking & a complete change of life that’s still goin’ on today.
