Anybody know of any dispersed camping in SoCal on moderate trails that are open and available for camping. I had twins two months ago and am needing a night in the truck.

You can disperse camp anywhere on BLM land, tons of that around SoCal. I'm looking to do the same thing here in the next week or two but haven't looked into an exact spot yet.

I believe you need a campfire permit to have a campfire even on BLM land, it's a stupid easy permit to get you just have to watch a short video and answer a few easy questions online and print it out. Good to have on hand in case you run into a ranger while camping and they ask for it

    http://permit.preventwildfiresca.org/

If it's required and you don't have one the fine can be steep if they enforce it on you
