    idr the difference between the normal and the shield but i think the normal version is slightly smaller? so better CC

    Shield is smaller then the standard M&P
    Thing on top is the loaded chamber indicator.
    Standard M&P dropped off the "Safe Handgun" List a few years ago.

    I have a standard M&P that i got before it dropped off the list. Don't like the trigger pull (its to long) and don't like the mag disconnect. Both issues can be fixed but I haven't gotten around to doing anything to that particular gun yet.

    If you haven't shot the shield then you definitely should before you buy it. Its a bit snappy on the muzzle rise if you don't have a firm grip due to 1) a shorter grip and 2) shorter barrel.

    AHH thats what it was i was backwards and i think i have. ill double check with the owner. yeah but i hate that loaded chamber indicator might be a big deal breaker for me
