Basic supply and demand. Nobody is forced to buy them. Is it inefficient if it works?

At this point it’s a 22 year old truck. Even with low miles they’re all going to need tlc. The main thing is if it isn’t modified. I just picked one up and it was easy to work on because it was all original. They’re all going to need something in the near future.

It sure is. 1997 with only 67,000 miles. That’s about 3000 miles a year. The price is just a little high. I bet you could make an offer of a little less than asking price and they’ll sell it to you. The pictures shows it like new.

That was sarcasm. There's no way in hell I'd spend 30k on a 24 year old vehicle unless it was a classic of some sorts.

There's a market developing - you're right in saying it's a classic. It would be an investment, using it as a daily would be madness.

Low miles after 20 years is meaningless for a driver - enough parts wear without the mileage affecting it in that long of a time period that things need to be replaced. I bought mine for less than a quarter of that and put in a new engine among other things and suggest that's the way to go. You'll know if anything has an issue and have a chance to start again with good quality parts where it counts. IMO the thing should be clean. It's easier to maintain something than it is combing through part outs for tiny interior and hard to source parts.

    Edit:

Actually I don't think those switches by the fuse panel are factory - I wouldn't want to pay that much for something with some aftermarket t-spliced hack job wiring, even being able to get rid of it.

As long as people with $$$ want them, it's all that really matters.
