I haven't perused triple locked LCs much but that seems like a great price for the miles and condition, he's probably getting blown up with inquiries. Though I'm sure most people are asking if he'll take half his asking price in cash lol

 

People are asking that (although I'm not sure they're getting it) for kitted 3rd gen t4r's. If I wasn't so familiar with 1st gen taco / 3rd gen t4r's I'd definitely go for a triple locked LC.

 

Yeah it's on my wish list one day. They are awesome vehicles but with their age and mileage they would need some TLC just like our trucks do. And with how overbuilt Landcruisers are, maintenance is more involved and more expensive. Don't need that in my life right now lol

 

I was considering a nice 4x4 V8 1st gen Sequoia for $11k but the same rules apply

Overpriced

 

No such thing for about a year now.

 

Plenty of 100 series that are clean title between 170-270k miles for that price range.

I know because I found many as recent as a week ago while I was looking for an 80 series; had my 4R up for sale.

Rear diff lock was replaced by a standard A-TRAC starting in 2000.

2000MY also had 4 pinion front diff versus 2 pinion found in previous years.

Even then, found a few 1999MY with rear locker for 15k and under with clean title.

The one in IG is salvage.

 

You getting rid of your 4runner?

 

Was, had multiple buyers lined up including one gentleman that kept texting/calling offering me $2k over asking. He test drove it and inspected it and everything.

I couldn't sell it as my other car isn't smog legal and I couldn't find a replacement 80 series LC I wanted.

Correction; found 2 but the sellers were horrible at responding and were delaying a lot.

 

So once you find an 80 the 4runner's being sent on it's way?
